Back-to-School Breakfast Hacks

By the end of summer, plenty of parents are ready for their kiddos to head back to school – but one thing that seems to bring about universal dread is figuring out how to get the family fed before they miss the bus. These 4 back-to-school breakfast hacks will help you get energized and out the door in a snap.

Waffle Iron Eggs

Skip the frying pan and head straight to the waffle iron for this genius breakfast hack. Simply heat up the waffle iron, scramble an egg (omelet ingredients optional) and pour over the waffle iron. Close it up and wait 30 seconds to a minute for a perfectly cooked scramble.

Overnight Oats

This healthy standby has been around for a while but the recipe variations just keep getting more delicious. We’re in love with this Apple Walnut version, especially heading into apple picking season!

Ready-to-Blend Smoothies

Smoothies are already pretty much the perfect on-the-go breakfast. But just in case you hit snooze too many times, you can speed up the prep with this clever trick: freeze all the ingredients (except the liquid) in a Ziploc bag ahead of time. Then on your way out the door all you have to do is dump the ingredients, add milk, water or another liquid and hit blend – no slicing, dicing or measuring needed!
