What We Give
Not only does Oakhurst give back at a corporate level, but many of our employees also give back at an individual level. We are proud of our employees that dedicate their time and money to support the many worthy causes in our communities.
Oakhurst's 10% Pledge
Our pledge to donate 10% of pre-tax profits to organizations that promote healthy kids and a healthy environment is the cornerstone of our community involvement. Keeping our pledge enables us to give back hundreds of thousands of dollars each year to the community. Find the organizations we have recently supported.
Employees Time
We encourage employees to give back to their communities by volunteering their time and/or participating in fund raising events for non-profit organizations or charities of their choice. These are just a handful of the causes our employees support, American Lung Association's Trek Across Maine, Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts of America, Maine Cancer Foundation and more. In addition, members of our executive leadership team donate hundreds of hours each year to serve on local boards, including Friends of Casco Bay, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Portland, the Salvation Army of Northern New England, YMCA, the Iris Network, the Center for Grieving Children and more. All of us at Oakhurst are committed to supporting our communities and do so in a wide variety of ways.
Welcome New Baby
We love to join in the celebration of new and growing families. Our gift to the parents of newborns throughout Maine and New Hampshire is a note of congratulations along with a $10 gift certificate for groceries of their choice. Maine National Guard
We want to thank all the men and women of our country's armed services who give their time, skills and sometimes their lives to keep us free. Oakhurst Dairy continues to support their efforts and ensures that reserve servicemen and women have their jobs waiting form them when they return from active duty.
