Stanley T. Bennett II Chairman
of the Board of Directors
President and Chief Executive Officer
A 3rd generation dairyman, Stan joined the family business in 1973 after earning his
college degree from Tufts University and a Law degree from Boston University. In addition to overseeing all aspects of
the Dairy's management, Stan is our ambassador to the community.
He has shared his leadership talents with non-profit organizations such as the Gulf of Maine Aquarium, Greater Portland Boys & Girls Club,
The Iris Network, the Maine Historical Society,
the Greater Portland Chamber of Commerce, the
Friends of Casco Bay and the
Zoning Board of the Town of Falmouth. His involvement in industry associations includes the
Boards of the New England Milk Dealers Association,
the
International Dairy Foods Association and the Maine Dairy and
Nutrition Council. Stan was born and raised in Portland and makes his home in Falmouth.
He has three children - Theodore, Colby and Sarah Jane. |

William P. Bennett Vice President of
Operations Bill
is another member of the Bennett family who
has helped make our family business the
successful organization it is today. Bill
scrutinizes every aspect of our day-to-day
operations and develops strategies for
continuous improvement of quality and
efficiency. Whether it’s
better or more efficient ways to make our
products, innovative methods for getting them
to market faster, or new ideas for making
Oakhurst a safer and better place to work,
Bill is the man who makes sure that we are
always moving forward. A job he has excelled
at for 28 years.
Bill lives on Little
Sebago Lake in Windham with his wife
Susan. They have two grown children,
Aaron and Leah. He is the former
Chairperson and present board member of the
Portland Salvation Army Advisory Board. He
holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political
Science from the University of Maine, Orono.

Althea Bennett McGirr Director of Customer Relations
A Portland native and member of the third generation of family management, Althea has been at Oakhurst Dairy for over 20 years. She is a graduate Of Westbrook College and the University of Southern Maine.
As Director of Customer Relations, she answers consumers’ questions about Oakhurst products, operations and community initiatives. She also manages the internal Tell/Sell department and interfaces with sales and marketing.
In addition, she works in conjunction with the family regarding the many philanthropic activities of Oakhurst and the Bennett
Family as well as her own participation as a
Director on the Board of the Iris Network.
Althea and her husband Bob, reside in Falmouth. She has two grown
daughters, Lucia and Katherine Allen.

John H. Bennett
Vice President of Sales
John is the fourth member of the Bennett family to join the dairy's operation full-time. He is the previous owner of Port Quality Shellfish, a wholesale seafood distributor in Portland, and has a long and successful record in perishable product sales and distribution. After selling the business, to Preble Seafood of Kennebunk in 1998, he served them in both purchasing and sales capacities until 2003. John is also a member of the Dairy's board of directors. Since joining the company, John has served as Oakhurst's General Sales Manager and Director of Marketing.
A graduate of Tufts University with a degree in Economics, John lives in Portland with his wife, Abby Snyder, his son Donald, and his daughter Caroline. He and his family enjoy hiking and swimming, and exploring Casco Bay.

Thomas A. Brigham Vice President of Finance and Treasurer
Since joining Oakhurst in 1995, Tom has been our company's chief financial officer, in charge all accounting, finance and information systems functions. He is a CPA, and he received both his Bachelor's degree and his Master's degree in Business Administration from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
Tom is actively involved in the Greater Portland community, serving on the Board of Directors for the Cumberland County YMCA and coaching youth sports in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, where he lives with his wife and 3 children.

Joseph H. Hyatt Vice President of
Human Resources You
can’t make quality products without quality
people and Joe is responsible for helping
Oakhurst attract and retain the best in the
business. Joe also works to make sure our
employees have everything they need to do
their jobs safely and effectively. He conducts
safety training, handles our workers’
compensation issues, manages our benefits
program and strives to maintain Oakhurst’s
status as an Employer of Choice.
Joe
and his wife Maria have spent their entire
married life in Topsham with their two
children. He is a Past President of the
Brunswick Chapter of The Compassionate
Friends, Parents' Bereavement Group, has
served on the Board of Directors for
the Center for Grieving Children and is an
active volunteer facilitator with The Center.
Joe's other interests include gardening,
landscaping, physical fitness and roller
hockey.

Paul J. Connolly, Jr.
Vice President of Technology Services
Chief Information Officer
Technology plays a big part in the daily production of all Oakhurst products, and Paul is the person who keeps the Dairy's systems running at peak performance. Financial systems, manufacturing, warehousing, sales/route accounting and handheld point of sale technologies are all areas that Paul oversees. He is also responsible for maintaining the integrity of our data and voice communications as well as planning, researching and evaluating the acquisition of new technologies.
Paul successfully operated his own computer consulting business before coming to Oakhurst and has developed technology solutions for many corporations. Paul enjoys music, photography, traveling, boating and water skiing. He lives in Portland with his wife Susan and their two sons, Jonathan and Anthony.

Thomas W. Carll
Director of Engineering and Maintenance
An Oakhurst veteran of 22 years, Tom handles the preventive maintenance, redesign and software development for all our processing equipment. Tom is a Master Electrician and also holds a Stationary Steam Engineers license. He has received training in ladder logic software programming as well as graphic computer programming and attended coursework at the University of Wisconsin in refrigeration systems.
Tom and wife Sherry live in Gray, Maine and boast of two children and six grandchildren. They are both seasonal distance runners and enjoy coaching youth cross country running and track.

James M. Lesser
Director of Marketing
Jim comes to Oakhurst from Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc. He is responsible for developing the Dairy's business plan. Whether he is acutely analyzing sales data, or managing new product development and communications strategies, Jim can be counted on to represent our consumer's needs. He also has a keen understanding of our distribution channels as well as an in-depth appreciation of our customer base.
A graduate of Cornell University, Jim lives in Falmouth with his wife Liz and the youngest of their three children, Jay. He and his family enjoy hiking, biking and skiing .

Denise L. Bean Accounts
Receivable/Credit Manager
For
the past 10 years, Denise has made one of the
tougher jobs in the dairy look easy. She not
only works with Distribution, Marketing, IS and
Customer Service to make sure that new customer
accounts are established in a timely manner, she
makes critical decisions on customer credit
ratings and risks. She also oversees all
activities related to credit references,
billing, collections and driver route settlement
product accountability. Denise is the
primary contact for customer billing questions.
Denise and her husband Charles are long-time residents of Gray, Maine and have two daughters,
Crystal and Sabrina and a granddaughter, Kaylee.
The couple enjoys camping, gardening and
spending time with their family.

David E. Green Fleet Manager For
17 years, Dave has kept our fleet of
refrigerated trucks in top condition so that our
drivers can deliver our products to your local
dairy case without incident. Dave has received
engine maintenance training from Mack Detroit
and Caterpillar and refrigeration training from
Carrier and Thermo King. Born and raised in
Portland, Dave currently lives in Oxford with
his girlfriend, Patty and her two sons. Dave has
three children of his own, a son and twin
daughters which in his own words “keeps things
from getting dull.” Dave enjoys snowmobiling,
motorcycling and boating.

Linda S. Sheehy
Consumer Promotions and Events Manager
Linda comes to us from Burgess Advertising & Associates where her primary focus was the Oakhurst Dairy account. Prior to working for Burgess, Linda held various sales management positions in the hospitality field.
Linda is responsible for managing the Oakie Fan Club. Additional responsibilities include managing and coordinating the Oakhurst antique truck or “Divco”, the horse drawn wagon and all Oakie related appearances. Finally, Linda also coordinates our Community Outreach programs.
Linda holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Bryant College and completed a certificate program in Meeting & Event Management at Bentley College . Currently, she serves on Youth Alternatives' “Passport to our Future” and Maine Cancer Foundation's “Cure Breast Cancer for ME” event committees. Linda lives in Portland , and enjoys downhill skiing, water skiing, running, hiking and biking.
