Reorganization Positions Oakhurst For Growth

PORTLAND, Maine (June 12, 2008) Family-owned Oakhurst Dairy announced today that it will make organizational changes aimed at improving customer service, controlling costs and handling the future growth and expansion of the company. The reorganization will maximize the qualifications and strengths of current employees, positioning Oakhurst for continued strength in a wider marketplace.

"Our decision to be proactive in dealing with today's tough economy will better serve our customers, our farmers and our company as a whole," said Stan Bennett, President of Oakhurst Dairy. "These internal changes will enable Oakhurst to bring more focus to key areas in the organization and ensure the continued growth and good health of our company in challenging times."

According to Stan Bennett, Oakhurst will divide its operations into two divisions: Manufacturing and Logistics. Leading the Manufacturing team will be William Bennett, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, who will oversee various key groups within the organization, including quality, engineering and production. William Bennett will focus on increasing operational efficiency while maintaining the high quality consumers expect from a local, socially responsible company.

John H. Bennett will leave his current role as Vice President of Sales, a position he held for three years, to head up the new Logistics team as Vice President of Logistics. He will oversee the Shipping, Distribution and Fleet groups, working with them to maintain and, where possible, improve service levels and find efficiencies in their respective areas. Joining Oakhurst on the Logistics side as Distribution Manager will be John C. McCartney, who comes to Oakhurst with over 16 years of experience at UPS. Together, John Bennett and John McCartney will ensure smooth and effective logistical operations at Oakhurst.

James Lesser has been named Vice President of Sales & Marketing after three years as Director of Marketing at Oakhurst. Lesser will continue in his marketing role as well as oversee the entire Oakhurst sales team.
